Grossmont Instrumental Music Association (GIMA) would like to wish you a warm welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! GIMA is the parent organization for Grossmont High SchoolS instrumental music department. We are not your average booster club! GIMA is a tax exempt 501c3 non-profit organization made up of parents, such as yourself, who volunteer their time and energy to support our kids and the music program. There are no fees! No dues! You are one of us! If your student is enrolled in the music program, you are a part of our organization.  GIMA offers support to the marching band, orchestra, drumline, color/winter guard, and the symphonic band through parental support, as well as financially with expenses such as: transportation, clinicians, tournament fees, show music, visuals, and various other enrichments.

Fundraising, sponsorships, and donations, are critical components of GIMA due to the declining budgets for the arts at federal, state, and local levels. We encourage you to attend our general, parent meetings where you can learn about upcoming events, tournaments, fundraisers, as well as  opportunities to socialize with other parents. Starting in August, the meetings will be the second Wednesday of every month at 6pm in the band room, and you can find the official schedule on our Calendar.

And did we forget to mention that we have fun?
